The challenge with this space was to connect the kitchen and the family room as one open space, without being able to remove a structural wall. The concept focused on the load-bearing wall as the key element to the layout; the wall is still present but disappears while "wrapped" in cabinetry. Appliances and storage on the kitchen side, and a fun open bookcase on the other. The result is a dynamic layout, which favors the flow between the two areas, by creating privacy and practical features at the same time.

The kitchen offers generous storage but still maintains a minimal look. The breakfast nook, once separate from the cooking area, is now connected to the island, and becomes an informal yet practical dining surface.

The sleek lines of the handle-less cabinetry are enriched by the use of three different materials; Rovere Grigio wood veneer, Efeso matte lacquer and Kane' laminate coexist, offering a cohesive and modern palette.
